Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Taking place on July 13th, at Olympic Stadium in Montreal, the 1982 MLB All-Star Game was the 53rd time the best-on-best showcase was held, with the National League trumping the American, 4-1. Dave Concepción would take home MVP honors, with almost 60,000 watching the Reds star hit the game’s lone home run. We have a pair of framed team-signed photos for both the American and National League squads. With each approx 10” x 13” (exposed) and triple-matted and framed to full dimensions of 16 ½” x 20 ½”, the American League photo has been signed by 21, with HOFers Brett, Yastrzemski, Fingers, Murphy, Winfield, Henderson and Reggie Jackson, along with Martin, Howser and others. The National League photo has been signed by 33, with HOFers Dawson, Niekro, Lasorda, Carter, Schmidt, Carlton and Duke Snider, along with Rose, Murphy, Howe Tanner and others. Each photo has a sticker from JSA affixed over the lower right, with matching LOAs to accompany.
The signatures on both photos have been scripted with blue marker, with most displaying well and some showing fading. The photos themselves also show wear, with indentations and a few minor wrinkles. There is also light wear to each frame, including scratches over the right side on the American League example.
