Culminating with Al Michaels' famous "Do you believe in Miracles" as time ticked down in the final minute of the third period, the 1980 United States Olympic hockey team did the seemingly impossible on February 22nd, 1980 in Lake Placid, New York by defeating the powerful Soviet Union squad that had won gold medals at five (5) of the previous six (6) Olympic Games. Going on to claim the gold medal for themselves after a win against Finland two (2) days later to give the country their second ever gold medal in ice hockey at the games, offered here is this Team USA commemorative jersey that displays "Miracle" spelt out over the nameplate on the reverse as well as the number "80" in dual layer tackle twill numerals that match the "USA" on the front which has been signed by nineteen (19). A size "XL" garment that has been inscribed by Neal Broten with "Do You Believe In Miracles?!" in black ink over the middle of the "8" on the reverse, the signatures of names such as Dave Silk, Rob McClanahan, Mark Johnson, Steve Janaszak, Bill Baker, Dave Christian, Ken Morrow, Jack O'Callahan, Mike Ramsey, Steve Christoff, Mike Eruzione, Buzz Schneider, Eric Stroebel, Phil Verchota, Mark Wells, Craig Patrick, John Harrington and Jim Craig have all been signed throughout the numbers on the reverse in matching black marker ink with all the autographs displaying without issue.
