Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
Desirable specimens for any collector of WHA memorabilia, we have a half-century old complete set of 1973-74 WHA plastic slurpee cups along with both Eastern and Western Division WHA puzzles by Tuco in the original boxes from the inaugural 1972-73 season. The cups are complete at 20, with each featuring an image of the profiled player along with a team logo. Players include Hull, Cheevers, Tremblay, McKenzie, Brewer, Lacroix, Green, Connelly and others. The majority of the cups show minor 50-year old slurpee residue but no warping or cracks - something the usual plagues these collectibles. The puzzles each sport a drawn generic game image, with the team logos of each division also shown. The 7 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 6" boxes show minor wear, and we should note that we are unsure if all the pieces are present and accounted for.
