Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
The classic battle for world hockey supremacy, the 1972 Summit Series will be forever remembered as the ultimate clash between western and eastern powers, with the Canadians retaining their dominance over the Soviets. This Team Canada jersey has been team-signed by 27 Summit Series participants, and it is accompanied by a Summit Series postcard and home TV program. Produced by Roger Edwards Sport with “L” sizing, the jersey features the classic rising maple leaf, with “Canada” sewn to the reverse in individual red tackle twill letters. The black marker signatures have been placed across the front and display nicely despite some being bunched-up, and include Henderson, Stapleton, Lapointe, Ellis, Awrey, Tallon, White, Ferguson, Ratelle, Dionne, Park, Martin, Parise, Savard, Esposito, Gilbert, Berenson, Seiling, Guevremont, Glennie, Johnston, Cournoyer, Mikita, Hadfield, and the Mahovlich and Esposito brothers. The postcard and home program both remain in high grade with no issues. A COA will accompany for the jersey.
