Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
From the good old 10-cent-a-pack days are two wrappers and a nifty card design guys of a certain age can reminisce about, with this set averaging in the EX neighborhood. EX and EX+ cards look to turn up more than better/worse grades, with VG-EX, VG-EX+, EX-MT and EX-MT+ also represented, with some NMs also likely to be pulled from binder pages. The key Ken Dryden rookie card is EX with some surface scratches to mention, while the Lafleur RC is NM but miscut. A crease in the Dionne RC renders it VG+. Checklists are unmarked, with famous #111 EX but badly off-centered and #264 VG+ due to a very small subtle light crease. Second-year cards of Sittler and Perreault are EX-MT, while at EX are the three different Bobby Orr cards and special collector's cards of Gordie Howe and Jean Beliveau. Clarke, Hull and Plante are VG-EX. As for the wrappers, we spot four edge tears in the 1st Series job and one in the other, with both however very cool complements to this classic set.
