Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Appearing in boxes of delicious Post Cereal during the dawn of the 1970s, we have a 10-stick set of “Mini-Sticks”, with a Brad Park example housed in its original cellophane (opened) with intact decals, along with a pair of original ads cut directly from cereal boxes. There are also an additional 4 sticks (missing player decals) and a single puck, along with a pair of 1973-74 Post Tournament of Nations sealed game pieces in original packaging (cellophane damaged on both), and a Circa 1974 “Stick and Puck” game wrapper and card produced by Swell. Included in the 10-stick set of Post Mini-Sticks are Orr, Bucyk, Park, Ullman, Stapleton, Rousseau, Ellis, Unger, Laperriere and Dennis Hull.
The Post Mini-Sticks all have intact stickers on both sides, with some dark including on the Laperriere, Ullman, Rousseau and Bucyk examples, with the bottom NHL decal torn on the Ullman stick. The Post Tournament of Nations sealed game pieces are complete and feature Netherlands/Canada and Finland/Canada, with the cellophane damaged on each. The cardboard cereal box cut-outs have bright colours with expected edge wear, with a few small creases present. Lastly, the Swell wrapper and card both display beautifully, with just light wear.
