Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Another promotion that sent kids scurrying through boxes of Post Cereal in the late-1960s, we have a near-complete set of Post Hockey Game marbles (29/30) along with the game board and instruction sheet, original game board shipping box and game-offer cereal box cut-out. The Habs marbles are each in their original wrapper, with each of the Toronto marbles used but in very good condition, with just Mike Pelyk needed for completion. The Bower and Walton examples exhibit somewhat cloudy/blurry images. The somewhat scarce game board (roughly 15” x 24”) was also enjoyed by a former owner, with some toning taking place along with some edge cracks to the plastic, primarily along the bottom and upper left corner.
The original shipping box is included and shows expected wear, while the original 8 ½” x 11” instruction sheet exhibits toning along with a few minor creases. Lastly, the larger box-cut (Honey Comb) shows expected wear, especially to the hand-cut edges, with the smaller example in similar condition.
