For those collectors chasing the ever-popular premiums and offers issued by York Peanut Butter throughout the 1960s… this is your lucky day! We have a “master” collection of York items, with jars, cards, transfers, albums, towels, advertisements and more! Included, we have 2 different smaller-size jars from circa 1961-62, a lid from a 1961-62 3 lb jar and a 3 lb jar from 1967-68 (with card #14), with each advertising the card promotions. This is followed by 3 1962-63 towels plus order card, a 1961-62 York Peanut Butter album with 3 cards (yellow backs) - Arbour, MacNeil and Maniago, a 1963-64 York Peanut butter album with 2 cards – Gauthier and Delvecchio plus advertising card, 2 1960-61 photos with Moore and Bonin, a 1962-63 Canadiens premium transfer and 8 1962-63 player transfers with Beliveau, Delvecchio and others. There is also a 1962-63 pennant, along with 4 period newsprint advertisements.
The jars all advertise the cards, with just some wear and loss to the label on one of the smaller examples. Both albums are unused and exhibit light wear, with toning to the 1963-64 example along with a rough top edge on the earlier 1961-62 album, while all the cards show just light wear (MacNeil is creased). The transfers are all bright and crisp, with the Habs team transfer near flawless. The 1960-61 photos both have light corner wear with a few minor surface indentations, while the pennant (red trim) has been well utilized, with a number of transfers present (13) including Horton, Plante and Sawchuk. There is also wear to the tassels along with a few creases and small stains. The towels include each of the offered varieties with a second Delvecchio/Shack/Richard example, with each showing wear with varying degrees of fading/staining. Lastly, the period newsprint advertisements all show expected wear including toning, with an edge tear to the example showing the 1961-62 cards and album.
