Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017

Complete sets of 1957-58 Parkhurst cards always get attention, given the difficulty of the first five Canadiens and Maple Leafs and the presence of Frank Mahovlich and Henri Richard rookie cards. We see the latter as a VG example, with the Big M not quite making it to VG. Some type(s) of condition issue affects the aforementioned “toughies”, most of which fall into the G and G+ grades, with 1-Armstrong better at VG. Subtle evidence on the reverse of having been un-glued affects 20-Baun RC and Horton, with staining at two corners on the fronts of the otherwise EX+ cards. The Jacques Plante is G with multiple light creases, while the rest of the Canadiens are better, with most at VG, VG+ or VG-EX. Ditto for the remaining Leafs, with the exception of 15-Harris and 21-Cullen, (similar to the Baun and Horton). The completeness of this challenging issue is...attractive!
