Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

Much to dissect and describe here, with a Jacques Plante rookie card the obvious place to start. Small creases in two (bottom) corners and less-than-perfect centering is to report but an attractive VG specimen, with #79-Maple Leaf Gardens (VG+) also a highlight. Most of the other "regular" Parkies are crease-free but with enough wear/color loss to the red strip at the bottom to render them in the VG realm. Geoffrion, Harvey and Hainsworth are present, with a nasty printing line (and crease) affecting Rocket Richard and #1-Lumley (P) also lesser. Best of Quaker Oats entries at VG+ or VG-EX are 35-Marshall RC, 51-Meger, 52-McNeil, 64-Reardon and 67-Blake, with most other green backs low grade and further details and images available on our website.
Other Quaker Oats representatives are mostly P or F, with a few making it to G. The lineup includes 34-Day, 36-LeClair, 40-Curry, 41-MacKay, 62-Siebert, 63-Durnan, 65-Gagnon, 66-Reay, 68-Selke, 69-Hugh Beats Hodge, 70-Lum Stops Boom-Boom, 71-Plante is Protected and 72-Rocket Roars Through. There are also four regular Parkies that join their Quaker Oats counterparts; 34-Day, 36-LeClair RC, 40- and 51-Meger, meaning that there are 57 different cards towards the set of 79. Not present (in either version), are #s 3-Horton, 5, 15, 17, 18-Duff RC, 21, 22-Jackson, 23-Broda, 27, 30-Bailey, 33-Clancy, 38-Moore, 44-Beliveau, 47, 49, 53-Talbot RC, 54, 55-Lalonde, 56-Vezina, 58-Joliat, 73-Rocket test Lumley and 78-The Montreal Forum. Lots of possibilities with these classic collectibles.
