Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022

A well-centered example of Gordie Howe's iconic 1951-52 Parkhurst rookie card, worthy of KSA's mark of 8 NMM is on the auction block here and was originally found in a little box along with four other cards, with the inaugural Parkie packs selling for five cents each - oh, to be able to go back in time. At the time, Howe and the Red Wings were putting together a record run of seven consecutive regular season titles and would win Lord Stanley's silverware in the spring of '52, the '51-52 Detroit club considered by hockey experts as one of the most powerful of all-time. Gordie won his second of four straight scoring championships in '51-52 and in the playoffs, the Red Wings rolled over the opposition in the minimum number of games, sweeping both the Maple Leafs and Canadiens. And now, to the offered Howe RC. A touched bottom left corner is observed, with the registration not bang-on and the black text at the bottom partially faded. Held at a certain angle, one could contend that the back suggests that the card was once affixed. One of the post war's most important rookie cards is to be seriously considered, with scratches to the KSA holder also to mention.
*Please note that the grading standards followed by KSA may not correspond to those of PSA, BGS or SGC. The outcome of an attempted cross-over of this card through any of those services therefore would be uncertain and cannot be guaranteed.
