Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
Ted Lindsay was a trailblazer both on and off the ice. A fierce competitor and natural leader,
Lindsay won four Stanley Cups with the Detroit Red Wings, playing a pivotal role on the
legendary “Production Line” with Gordie Howe and Sid Abel. His grit, scoring ability, and
playmaking helped define Detroit’s dominance in the 1950s. Off the ice, Lindsay’s impact was
just as profound—he was instrumental in forming the NHL Players’ Association, fighting for
players’ rights and better working conditions. His legacy is immortalized through the Ted Lindsay
Award, given annually to the NHL’s most outstanding player as voted by his peers.
This Ted Lindsay rookie card, graded PSA 8, is one of just 55 in this grade, with only 7 graded
higher out of 469 submissions. The PSA holder is in strong overall condition, with just a handful
of light scratches and scuffs on both sides.
