Marking the 16th season of play in the National Hockey League for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Conn Smythe's blue and white squad would finish the 48 game regular season with a record of 24-18-6 to top the league's Canadian Division, the Leafs would knock off the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Semi-Finals to reach the Cup Finals for the fourth (4th) time in franchise history. One of the more attractive premium items from the 1930s and on the want list of nearly every advanced Toronto Maple Leafs collector, offered here is this complete set of the 1932-33 Toronto Maple Leafs O'Keefe's coasters. While officially complete at 20, examples for Dick Irvin, Conn Smythe, Bill Thoms and Ken Doraty have never surfaced, making with our offering complete at the known sixteen (16) examples. Including the likes of Lorne Chabot, Red Horner, Alex Levinsky, Hap Day, Ace Bailey, King Clancy, Andy Blair, Harold Cotton, Charlie Conacher, Joe Primeau, Busher Jackson, Frank Finnegan, Bob Gracie, Darragh, Benjamin Grant and Fred Robertson, included is also an extra example of Andy Blair. In terms of condition, the group featuring Bailey, Clancy, Conacher and Day sees each coaster sport edge and corner wear as well as varying amounts of fading to their blue coloured edges. Additionally, the Bailey shows spots of paper loss around the edge on the reverse as does the Clancy, which also shows a crease and soft point. For the examples of Conacher and Day, both once again show spots of paper loss on their reverses with Conacher sporting a couple of small tears plus while the Day shows creases and soft corners in spots. For the second group, featuring the coasters of Horner, Primeau, Jackson and Chabot, each shows paper loss on the reverses with the Horner showing a couple of spot stains on the reverse plus edge and corner wear, the Primeau has a small tear and couple of soft corners, the Jackson has a couple of soft corner and hairline creases and finally, the Chabot is missing a point at the left side, soft corners all around, creases in spots and moderate-to-heavy fading. For the final eight (8) included coasters, each shows paper loss on the reverse with common flaws such as soft corners, fading, light creases, small tears and edge/corner wear while those of Grant and Robertson have staining to make mention of over their fronts. Additionally, also included with the lot is number of magazine/program cuts featuring these coasters including some that are affixed in photo album pages that are being sold as-is since it is unknown if they will come out of the pages/albums or not.
