Lefthanded starter Drew Hutchison’s 2014 Toronto Blue Jays gamer is the red “Canada Baseball Day” jersey he wore for what proved to be the longest game in Jays history to that point. Toronto used eight pitchers, though Hutchison was not one of them, in a 19-inning game against Detroit at Rogers Centre on August 10, 2014. The Blue Jays trailed 5-0 through the first four innings but rallied to tie it and send the game to extra innings. Jose Bautista gave Toronto a 6-5 win with a bases-loaded single in the 19th with many of the crowd of over 46,000 still on hand after watching 6:36 of baseball on a Sunday afternoon that stretched into the early evening. Hutchison, who didn’t get into the game because he was scheduled to start the following day in Seattle, wore this red gamer with a Canadian flag patch on the left sleeve above the white embroidered Majestic logo. Majestic Cool Base Toronto Blue Jays MLB Authentic Collection tagging is sewn on the left front tail with a “36 2014” patch below it, and Majestic size 46 tagging is heat-screened into the back of the neck. The MLB Authenticated hologram sticker applied to the bottom of the “6” sewn on the back has a registry number that shows on the database printout that the jersey is a “Red Canada Baseball Day Jersey Worn 2014 Aug 10th Drew Hutchison”.
