Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
With three productive years at Boston College followed by three seasons with Manitoba in the AHL, where he was named goaltender of the year in 2007, Cory Schneider made his NHL debut with Vancouver in 2008-09, staying with the club for four seasons. We have a Canucks alternate jersey that was won by the American in the second and third periods of a home contest against Detroit on March 16th 2013. “Goalie Style” size tagging sits affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with a thick felt “V” with “Vancouver” embroidered on, the V-neck garment has also been accented with tackle twill numbers and letters on the verso. An LOA from the Canucks organization will accompany.
With no visible game-wear on this “Millionaires” throw back sweater, it remains in gorgeous condition. We should note that this jersey was worn to commemorate 100 years of professional hockey in Vancouver. It should also be noted that Corey Schneider was the back-up goalie in the game this sweater was worn.
