The Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles was the site for the NHL's All Star extravaganza in 2002. A World team took on the best of North America, with the former handily defeating the latter 8-5 in front of over 18,000 fans. Markus Naslund wore this Team World jersey, and according to the NHL inventory number patch affixed to the fight strap, it was one of five jerseys worn for either the official photo shoot, pre-game warm-up or in one of the three periods. Tagged in the collar by CCM in size 58, a special 2002 All Star tag is sewn onto the fight strap, along with the previously mentioned embroidered inventory patch from the NHL. Special patches include a 2002 All Star Game patch at the right breast, the Vancouver Canucks logo on one shoulder and the flag of Sweden over the other shoulder. Naslund has signed the middle of the back “9” in black marker, and the signature displays well. Game-wear includes marks on the numbers on the lower front band, along with board burns over the left sleeve near the elbow. We should also note some light staining/discolouration to the back nameplate and numbers. An LOA from the NHLPA will accompany.
