Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
A three-time Stanley Cup champion with the New Jersey Devils, Martin Brodeur shined for Canada on the international hockey stage whenever he was called on to play for his country. Brodeur’s CCM game-used stick is from the 2005 IIHF World Championships in Austria. Canada won a silver medal and this is the CCM Heaton gamer Marty used in a 4-3 semifinal win against Russia in Vienna on May 15, 2005. “M.Brodeur” is stamped on the shaft with a “17 Fev. 2005” date stamp below it. “Rus” is handwritten in black marker on the front of Brodeur’s original white tape job on the knob. Marty’s black tape job remains on the blade and this gamer shows solid game use, including a couple of gouges on the edges of the paddle.
