Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

Goaltending great Martin Brodeur’s circa 1997 New Jersey Devils game-used blocker and trapper gloves are each signed by the future Hall of Famer. Brodeur had one Stanley Cup win to his credit and two more in his future when he used these two Heaton Helite-IV gloves. Marty placed black marker autographs on the front of each glove, both of which have the notation “1st NHL Goal” written in bolder black marker, although our research shows that these are not the gloves Brodeur was wearing when he accomplished that feat. The blocker has a black mark through the Brodeur 30 Devils logo embroidered on the back cuff with “Made in Canada” at the bottom. Nice wear to the hole-free palm. The trapper has nice game wear in the form of black marks and there are long loose threads from fraying on the inner cuff. Great pair of signed game-used gloves from the NHL’s all-time goalie games played, wins and shutouts leader.
