Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
From circa 1950 is this classic game-worn wool sweater from the Yale Bulldogs hockey team, with the heavy wool beauty remaining in absolutely nice condition with only a lesser amount of small holes scattered throughout, obviously kept well away from hungry moths. This wonderful blue and cream vintage gamer, showing lighter game wear, has felt Yale lettering displayed on the front and “1” on the back, and on the inside hem a patch reads “O’Shea Knitting Mills, Chicago”, with an adjoining “48” patch. Measuring 25” from front collar to hem, and 24” across the underarms, this is a gem of a vintage game-worn jersey from Yale, the oldest existing intercollegiate hockey program in the US.
