Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

Battle-scarred and classic is this game-worn CHL Dallas Black Hawks jersey worn by winger Steve Hazlett, probably during the ’78-79 season. Tagged in the collar with both Wilson and Gunzo patches and showing it to be a size “46”, this vintage gamer shows puckering on the team crest and back numbers, has inside pilling, and along with an abundance of game marks scattered throughout, has dozens of team repairs to note. The jersey, which comes with an LOA, also features chain-stitched crossed tomahawk “D” shoulder patches, has evidence of a former nameplate, and has a “77” year tag in the hem, as the jersey was most likely recycled for Hazlett’s 1978-79 season.
Hazlett notched an excellent 44 goals and 32 assists for 76 points in 76 games in 1978-79, his first of of four seasons with the Central Hockey League Black Hawks, and the year he most likely wore this cool vintage gamer.
