Legendary coaches Scotty Bowman and Roger Neilson and fellow HOFers Steve Yzerman, Bob Gainey and Larry Murphy are among the incredible NHL talent the Peterborough Petes of the major junior OHA produced over the years. This circa late-1960s/early-1970s Petes game-worn jersey displays “TPT” sewn on the front in maroon twill letters. Loads of pilling to the sewn-on maroon felt numbers on the sleeves and back. There are two team repairs on this cool junior gamer, which has a few red paint transfer marks on the right sleeve, various black marks and reddish-brown spot stains on the front.
TPT logo for original team sponsors Toronto-Peterborough Transport was worn by the team into the mid-1970s.
There are seven fabric runs on the front, which has a small hole on the right breast, and two more fabric runs on the back, and a few more on the sleeves, which have cut cuffs.
