Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
The distinctive V covers the front of fan favorite Dave “Tiger” Williams’ 1982-83 Vancouver Canucks game-worn jersey. This unique style is one of the most talked about uniforms in hockey history, like it or lump it, with orange and gold Vs on the front, the shoulders and lower sleeves, and the embroidered team logo sewn on each sleeve. Washed out laundry instruction flag tag in the back of the neck is sewn over by stitching to the restored nameplate, which is in two sections. The original fight strap was removed and replaced back in the day as were the customized elastic cuffs to allow Tiger to throw his fists. Game wear includes six team repairs on the right sleeve and five on the left elbow.
Maska logo is embroidered in yellow thread on the rear tail. More game wear shows in marks and board burns on the sleeves and front tail. There is evidence of the original nameplate having been removed from the jersey.
