Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

Game-used goaltender sticks up for grabs here, beginning with Richard Brodeur’s Louisville handled by King Richard when he was tending goal for the Vancouver Canucks in circa 1982, an era when he and his Canucks went all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals against the team he once belonged to, the New York Islanders. This Louisville gamer retains Brodeur’s original tape on the blade, paddle, and knob, and along with a scattering of game marks throughout, shows “Brodeur” stamped on the upper shaft where knob tape has been cut. Next, a Sher-Wood gamer from Don Edwards when he was with the Calgary Flames in the early-1980s. The stick has Edwards’ original white tape on the blade, paddle, and knob, and along with puck marks scattered about, has “Edwards 1” stamped on the upper shaft. And lastly, from his days with the Minnesota North Stars in the 1980s is this mostly green Christian stick handled by Don Beaupre, with original black blade tape and white above the paddle and on the knob where it has unraveled a touch. Parts of the stamped on “Beaupre” show where the tape has unraveled, and game marks are evident but not overabundant.
