Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

From goaltender Brian Elliot in his rookie season with the Ottawa Senators, 2008-09, is this cool Vaughn catching glove that most likely got its use as a practice glove. With “Elliot” stitched on the outer cuff and “Vaughn” printed across the lower wrist, this game-worn big league glove shows not only a nice amount of puck marks, but also a large amount of red marks both in the catching area of the trapper and on the outside, caused by discoloration of the pads which transferred to the glove. A fine specimen of a trapper, with all webbing and straps intact, ready to use if so desired. Nice gamer from a fellow who at this writing is with the St. Louis Blues, but who previously had manned the pipes with Colorado after his initial 3-year stint in Ottawa.
