Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
Four greats of the game have signed various items here, beginning with an 11” x 14” photo of Gordie Howe and Jean Beliveau, signed by both in beautiful silver marker, with Howe adding “Mr. Hockey” and Beliveau “Le Gros Bill”. Another 11” x 14” shot is that of Howe and Bobby Hull in their All-Star uniforms, with each signing in clear silver marker. Next is an 11” x 14” picture of the 1951-52 Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings, signed in black marker by Marty Pavelich, Red Kelly, Gordie Howe, Alex Delvecchio, Ted Lindsay, Benny Hoit, and Marcel Pronovost. Joining these, a 12 ½” x 20” colored illustration by sports artist Doug West of the great Stan Mikita, signed at the bottom by both in pencil and numbered as “41/200”. And last but not least, a 16” x 20” B&W shot of Howe, Beliveau, and Hull in their All-Star uniforms, beautifully signed by all 3 in clear blue marker. As a final bonus, we’re tossing in an unsigned Feb. 1963 edition of Hockey Pictorial magazine with Stan Mikita on the cover, in nice, unmarked and intact condition.
