Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

From the man Bobby Orr once called “the most talented player I’ve ever seen”, Mario Lemieux, is this wood Koho game-used stick wielded by Mario in the late-1980s, an era when Le Magnifique was burning things up with the Pens including a 70-goal 1987-88 campaign and 85 markers in ’88-89. Featuring Mario’s original black tape on the blade and knob, this gamer has “Lemieux” handwritten in black marker over the original “Lemieux” stamp, with a handwritten “66” alongside, and below the bottom 4 red accent stripes is the number “1749 3” stamped on. Plenty of game marks line the shaft, the toe of the blade shows a smallish crack, and all in all, who knows what magic the Hall of Famer (inducted 1997) made while handling this beauty? It’s your chance to own a fine gamer from one of the greatest ever.
