Habs icon Howie Morenz was flying high with linemates Aurele Joliat and Johnny “Black Cat” Gagnon when this rarely seen and very scarce 1930-31 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup champions pin-back button and ribbons was issued to celebrate back-to-back titles. George Hainsworth kept the puck out of the net and Sylvio Mantha and Pit Lepine dished out the bodychecks to allow the team’s fans to boast “Les Canadiens 1931 Champions du Monde” after the Habs won their second Stanley Cup in a row. “Badge & Specialty Co.” manufacturer’s label remains inside the back of the button, which has a celluloid front and measures about 1 3/4" in diameter. The total length of the pin and with its original red, white and blue ribbons is 8 inches.
