Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
Originating from the archive of the Toronto Maple Leafs and featuring deceased HOF signatures, we offer a 1932 MLG expense sheet signed by Frank Selke, a second 1947 MLG expense sheet signed by Conn Smythe, and two 1974 MLG cancelled cheques individually signed by King Clancy and George Armstrong - with each cheque also signed by Harold Ballard. First, the expense sheets are just under 9" x 11" with holes punched from prior binder insertion, with the 1932 sheet sporting handwritten notes and signed by Selke in dark ink, while the 1947 sheet features a large Smythe signature in blue pencil crayon. Each sheet shows wear with a few small creases, toning and edge tears. The two 1974 cheques have cancellation stamps, with Clancy and Armstrong signing each of their respective cheques on the reverse in blue ballpoint, with Ballard signing the front of each in black fiber-tip marker. Both show just light wear.
