Edmonton Oilers Auction 2005

Jari Kurri's 601 regular season goals place him 14th on the list of all-time scoring. Jari wore this gamer during the 1989-90 season with the Edmonton Oilers. CCM Air-Knit, tagged in the collar with the size "50" marked in ballpoint. Alternate captain's "A" sewn high on the left breast. Heavy game wear with dozens of stick marks and slashes with a jumble of typical Oilers team repairs bunched together on one sleeve. This jersey is from the CCM set the worn by the Oilers with an added solid blue material patch up on the right shoulder. The set was supplied by CCM in 88-89 with the 10th Anniversary patch and was not used until midway through the 89-90 season. The blue cloth swatch covers glue residue from the removal of the 10th Anniversary patch. No questions of authenticity here, as this jersey has been matched to a photo of Kurri in game action showing this crookedly-sewn alternate's "A". From the personal collection of Rick "The Stick" Elaschuk with his signed letter of provenance.
