The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005

After scoring the Stanley Cup-winning goal for the Oilers in 1984, Ken Linseman was dealt to Boston where for the next 5 1/2 seasons he continued his agitating yet effective play. One of the best at goading opposing players into retaliation penalties, Kenny's CCM black knit Bruins road jersey has a CCM tag in the neck with size "52" added in ballpoint, while the company logo is embroidered into the rear hem. Everything is sewn-on including "Linseman" in tackle twill letters across the nameplate. Significant game use here with dozens of black slash marks and general filth on the front to go along with a 1-inch team repair. A couple of small repairs and burns on the right sleeve but the left is an absolute mess with 20 repairs and other evidence of the opposition trying to get back at Linseman! The striping on the back also features dozens of black marks and a couple of nice burns. Love him or hate him, "The Rat" had a successful career with seven 20-goal seasons and a career total of 256. Great jersey worn by one of hockey's memorable performers will come with a LOA.
