The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
On his way to his first of three consecutive 50-goal seasons, Rick Vaive played in his first All-Star game in February of 1982 at the Capital Center in Landover. Vaive didn't waste much time showing why he was selected, putting the Campbell side on the board just 2 1/2 minutes into the game, although the Wales ended up winning the game 4-2. Rick's orange and black mesh jersey has Gerry Cosby, washing instructions and size 54 tags in the neck. Everything is sewn-on including the tackle twill stars and "Vaive" across the back (no nameplate). Light but obvious game use with 4 small burn marks in the black of the right sleeve and a 1-inch black mark on the orange front. Popular style was obtained directly from Rick Vaive who will sign a LOA that will be included with this great piece of All-Star game memorabilia.
