The Jean Beliveau Auction- February 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2005
Some 20 years after his induction to the Hockey Hall of Fame, Jean Beliveau, who along with Gordie Howe, entered the Hall in 1972 after the 3-year waiting period was waived for both, was presented with this fabulous gold ring. The sloping face includes a big bluestone which has "Hockey Hall of Fame" above and "Member" below two small diamonds. One shank features the Hall's logo with "J. Beliveau" engraved on a banner above and "1972" beneath. The most recent Hall of Fame in downtown Toronto appears on the opposite shank along with "Est. 1943". Showing very little wear and in outstanding near mint condition, the ring is size 11 1/2 and stamped "10K" on the interior of the band. Some players of his era still contend that Beliveau is the greatest center ever to play the game. The living legend will sign a LOA that will accompany this treasure that represents a lifetime of hard work and dedication.
