The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
The longest-serving team captain the NHL has ever known and a 3-time Stanley Cup champion, "Stevie Y" wore this Bauer Pro Team Canada jersey in hopes of becoming an Olympic champion at the 1998 Olympics in Nagano. Although Canada had a disappointing showing, Yzerman and his mates came through four years later in Salt Lake. Steve's Nagano jersey has two Bauer tags in the neck beside a size 52 fly tag. The Team Canada patches on the front and shoulders, the numbers and "Yzerman" across the nameplate are all sewn-on. Game wear includes half a dozen stick/puck marks on the front including a nice slash through the crest. Steve's alternate captain's "A" also has a black mark through it. A few small marks on each sleeve to mention as well. Yzerman scored a goal and an assist in 6 Nagano games. Sensational jersey of this future Hall-of-Famer will come with a letter of authenticity.
