The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Joe Crozier and the Rochester Americans made it 3 Calder Cup championships in 4 years when they defeated the Quebec Aces in the American Hockey League finals in the spring of 1968. Crozier relates the story that for a change, he had championship women's rings done up and presented them to the players' wives and girlfriends. This one features crossed hockey sticks and 3 diamonds (representing the 3 titles) on the tableau, encircled by "Calder Cup Champions". A miniature Calder Cup with "Champions" engraved on the base and "1968" above are on one shank while the other includes an Amerks logo with "Americans" through it, "Rochester" above and a pair of skates below. Stamped "10K" on the inside band, the size 5 1/2 ring shows just light wear and is in excellent-plus condition. The terrific AHL memento will be accompanied by a LOA signed by Joe Crozier.
