Featuring future Baseball Hall of Fame inductees such as Reggie Jackson and Ozzie Smith as well as numerous other stars of the era that were still trying to permanently crack a major league roster or stay in the league as long as possible, the 1982 Topps Traded baseball card set features no card bigger than the rookie card of future star shortstop, Hall of Famer and owner of the longest consecutive games played streak in MLB history, Cal Ripken Jr.. Offered here in complete set form with all 132-cards making up the checklist present and accounted for, the key card of Ripken as been inspected by the graders at PSA, who have deemed it worthy of an EX-MT 6 designation for its effort. Housed in a PSA holder that shows a small crack over the front but is otherwise in near-perfect condition other than a couple of tiny and light scratches, the rest of the cards in the set appear in a similar condition range of EX-MT to NM or better in some cases. Additionally, also included with the lot is an opened box of 2006 Topps Sterling Baseball that includes four (4) cards of Ripken Jr.. Including all of the original packaging that the cards came with, including the beautiful cherry wood box, three (3) of the four (4) included cards are base offerings showing moments from throughout Cal's career that are each serial numbered out of /250 on the front while the final cardboard specimen comes in the form of a Sterling Moments "The Iron Man" memorabilia card of the games played king, commemorating hit 2100 out of the 3184 he recorded in his career that is serial numbered "08/10" and sports jersey swatches and bat pieces embedded into the front of it. All of the Sterling cards are found to be in the condition range of EX-MT to NM or better after inspection, showing just light wear touches to their corners and edges worth noting for accuracy.
