Featuring a checklist of 242 total cards and chalked full of players that were suiting up for the two Canadian based Major League Baseball franchises in the form of the Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Expos, the 1978 O-Pee-Chee baseball set, due to a later printing date than its Topps counterpart, had many of the cards feature an extra line on the front of the card when a player changed teams, with some players featured on a different team that what is seen in the Topps release found south of the border. Offered here, we present this complete assembly of O-Pee-Chee's 1978 baseball release. An overall high-grade grouping seen as being mostly in the condition range of EX-MT to NM for its effort though not spared from O-Pee-Chee's typical centering and rough cut edge issues of the era, the group is paced by the key rookie card of Baltimore Orioles DH/1B Eddie Murray, with the copy included here sporting 70-30 centering over the front and fond to be in the commonly seen neighbourhood of EX-MT to NM. For the rest of the key cards, those joining the condition the Murray is in include those of 29-Yount, 78-Winfield (60-40 centering), 100-Rose (60-40 centering), 105-Ryan, 110-Jackson, 120-Seaver, 135-Carter (70-30 centering), 180-Dawson (80-20 centering), 215-Brett (90-10 centering), 225-Schmidt, 230-Carew and 241-Ryan Record Breaker while card #50 of Johnny Bench is seen as being closer to EX-MT due to slight corner fuzz at the top left point. With the two checklist cards unmarked and the other stars in the checklist in a condition that is consistent with the rest of the set, don't let this assembly of diamond kings pass you and your all-important collection by!
