Feared by each and every NHL netminder for his legendary shot - arguably the greatest all-time, Bobby Hull frustrated keepers further by using an exaggeratedly large curved blade that added an unpredictable flight path to an already deadly projectile. The owner of 913 professional regular season goals between his time in both the National Hockey League and World Hockey Association and a champion of both the Stanley Cup and AVCO Cup, offered here is this stick used by "The Golden Jet" as a member of the Chicago Black Hawks in the late-1960s. A CCM Custom Pro model with "B Hull" and his number "9" stamped over the upper shaft, an additional stamp from Gunzo's of Berwyn, Illinois is found over the forehand side of the upper shaft as well. Retaining Bobby's original black tape job over the shaved handle/knob and "banana hook" blade, the original three-band striping accent sticker over the lower shaft had clear tape affixed over it at some point. Exhibiting game-use via some marks and abrasions over the lower shaft, heel and blade, the blade tape itself also shows some marks over both sides as well with some small tears observed over the forehand side and top edge that total out to three (3). Of note, the shaft of the stick is darker than usual which appears to be due to some humidity/water staining and there are some very faded signatures visible on the Hull signed side of the stick. Nevertheless, the stick displays well and would make for a nice addition to your Hull shrine.
