Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2023

Playing parts of two seasons with the Edmonton Oilers, Danny Syvret would see action in 10 games in 2005-06, followed by 16 games in 2006-07. This Oilers retro jersey was worn by the Millgrove native 2006-07, specifically on March 3rd vs Calgary, and March 17th vs St Louis. Elite and size "56" labels are affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the reverse hem and back necklines respectively. Styled with the familiar tear-drop Oilers team crest, the V-neck jersey has been accented with tri-layer tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with "Syvret" across the nameplate in single white twill. Exhibiting very light game-use with a small mark to each sleeve, Syvret has signed the reverse "0" in black marker. The team and MeiGray patches are affixed to the inside hem (the team patch states "Set 3" and "Mark Messier Night", but this appears to be an error, as this jersey was not worn for Mark Messier Night on Feb 27th), and according to the MeiGray population report, the jersey is a “Blue Retro Set 1” specimen.
