Oddly representing two different clubs with a “moose” moniker including the Halifax Mooseheads in the Q (junior) and the Manitoba Moose in the AHL, Jason King was drafted by Vancouver in 2001, and spent parts of two seasons in British Columbia. From the NHL “Vintage Hockey” program in 2003-04 where they were worn in selected games, we have a vintage-style Canucks jersey worn by King. Modeled after the specimens donned by the Canucks during the 1972-73 NHL season, with the classic hockey stick team crest, “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. “17” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in single blue twill, with the NHL “Vintage” crest residing over the right breast. Regarding game-use, the jersey shows just a few dark marks over the front. There is a MeiGray patch numbered “B09176” affixed to the inside hem, and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a "White Vintage Set 1" - Used 11/18/03 vs Montreal and 12/27/04 vs Edmonton specimen (date incorrect - should be 12/27/03).
