Celebrating two of the best to ever pull on the jersey of the New York Rangers, we offer this jersey that was worn by Rangers defenceman, Michal Rozsival, during the second period on February 22nd, 2009 when the Rangers retired the numbers of Andy Bathgate and Harry Howell to the rafters of Madison Square Garden. In a special moment before the game, Rozsival removed his number “3” jersey, the same number worn by Howell, and presented the garment to the legend, taking number “33” from that point forward. Made by Reebok, a size “58” flag tag is affixed to the inner collar, showing a handwritten “3” in black ink, with an MSG hologram glued on above. With NHL and Reebok crests over the front and back necklines respectively, the front is decorated with Styled with “Rangers” placed diagonally across the chest in red-over-white drop-shadow tackle twill with Rozsival’s new number “33” sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material while “Rozsival” is spelt across the affixed arching nameplate. A Bathgate/Howell retirement night patch resides over the right shoulder of the tie-neck garment with the fight strap on the interior displaying a handwritten “2” to denote second period. Worn for just a single period of play, the jersey shows no obvious game-wear and remains in beautiful condition. A MeiGray patch numbered “F09545” is affixed to the inner hem and according to their population report, the jersey is a “Blue – Andy Bathgate/Harry Howell Night (Period 2) – Worn 2/22/09 (2nd Period) w/Bathgate/Howell Patch” specimen. An MSG LOA will accompany.
