Having not won a hockey’s most coveted prize since 1951, the Toronto Maple Leafs would find themselves back in the Stanley Cup Finals in 1962 for a meeting with the champions, the Chicago Black Hawks. The Leafs would knock the Hawks off in 6 games, winning their first of three straight Stanley Cups. Starting with the game 5 example, the booklet measures roughly 7” x 10” with the cover displaying a black and white photo of Eddie Litzenberger and the original purchase price of .35 cents. Complete and consisting of 80-pages, the center line-up shows the date of April 19th, 1962 and remains unscored. Showing only light wear, light toning is seen on the interior pages while the covers show light surface wear, with a scratch on the front. Corner wear is present with the the spine also exhibiting a small tear to the cover page with the staples remaining rust free. The Chicago Stadium program is attributed to the Cup clinching game 6 taking place three days later. Displaying Lord Stanley’s mug on the cover with the purchase cost of .25 cents, the program remains complete and unscored, displaying the names of the 16 future HOF inductees that would take part in the series between the two clubs. Showing light toning to the covers along with staining, creasing to the bottom right corner and waving to the pages on the inside, the staples show light rusting with tears to the upper part of the spine seen as well. Last but not least, a ticket stub from game 6 is also included.
