Drafted late during the 2000 NHL Entry Draft at 220th overall by the Buffalo Sabres, Paul Gaustad enjoyed a career that spanned 727 games over 12 seasons split between Buffalo and Nashville. Offered here, is this Buffalo Sabres alternate captain’s jersey that was worn by Guastad during the 2010-11 season. Made by Reebok and featuring a single size “56” tag affixed to the inner collar, crests for the NHL and Reebok adorn the front and back necklines respectively. Decorated over the front with the Sabres team crest that features embroidered details, the alternate captain’s “A” is sewn over the right breast of the tie-neck garment. The chest, sleeves and verso of the jersey have been accented with Gaustad’s number “28” in dual layer navy-over-yellow numerals with “Gaustad” spelt out across the affixed matching nameplate in single layer navy letters. Exhibiting moderate game-use, stick marks are observed over both sleeves, the lower front and the reverse with additional wear in the form of board burns present at and over the left shoulder. The interior of the jersey sports good pilling while Gaustad has signed the fight strap with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue. A Sabres team tagging patch denoting the jersey as an “Official 2010-2011 Game Jersey” is found over the interior reverse hem.
