Originating to the late 1920s when The Sultan of Swat became its first member, the 500 home run club currently consists of twenty-seven players, with Teddy Ballgame registering the highest career batting average of the membership. This framed lithograph from 1988 by noted sports artist Ron Lewis has been signed by eleven prestigious members. Measuring approx. 37” x 21” (visible), the print features wonderful images of each signing player in their respective major league uniform on the field of the original Yankee Stadium. Each has signed the bottom of the image under their respective image in bold blue marker including Ted Williams, Frank Robinson, Reggie Jackson, Mickey Mantle, Wille Mays, Hank Aaron, Mike Schmidt, Ernie Banks, Eddie Mathews and Willie McCovey, with the signatures all appearing strong and displaying with just a slight amount of fading from age. Contained in a dark wooden frame that shows wear and dings to the corners plus the edges, this remarkable offering, serial numbered "464/1000" in the bottom right hand corner, is matted under white and grey, displaying to full dimensions of 45 ½” x 29”.
