The face of the Toronto Maple Leafs since being selected by the club 1st overall at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Auston Matthews has not disappointed the Toronto faithful throughout his tenure with the club, potting 333 goals in his career thus far as of this writing and winning the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy as the National Hockey League's leading goal scorer in 2021 and 2022. Offered here, we present this Toronto Maple Leafs “Hockey Fights Cancer” jersey that Matthews wore during warm-up on April 10th, 2020 prior to Toronto's matchup against the Ottawa Senators at Scotiabank Arena. Made by Adidas, a band displaying both size "58" and "Made in Canada" designations is seen over the inner collar above an additional sewn in size "58" patch. Accented over the front and reverse necklines with the logos of the NHL and Adidas respectively, the front of the black and lavender coloured garment is decorated with a classic Maple Leafs team crest that has had "Toronto Maple Leafs" embroidered into while the alternate captain's "A" has been sewn over the left breast. Featuring a "Hockey Fights Cancer" patch over the left shoulder and an "I Fight For" label over the front hem, the sleeves and verso of the garment display Matthews' number "34" in single layer lavender twill numbers while "Matthews" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Sporting a fight strap on the interior and worn in just the pre-game warm up, the jersey remains in beautiful condition with no obvious signs of wear. Regarding the photo-match, the jersey has been matched with Getty Image #1311987320 (April 10th, 2021 vs Ottawa) to the long loose thread over the back of the neck as well as to the small loose thread in the left shoulder seam that is seen under Auston's ear.
