Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/2/2023
An attention-grabbing lot sure to intrigue fans of the beloved blue and white, offered here is this collection of five (5) Toronto Maple Leafs items including a 1967-68 Dave Keon York Peanut Butter glass. Starting with the glass, the Keon tumbler shows a portrait of the HOFer on one side while the other shows a diagram of a referee’s high-sticking call. Measuring 5 ¾” tall with a 3” rim circumference, the sought-after drink holder remains in high-grade with just the odd tiny scratch and no wear or fading to the applied graphics, and no chips or cracks. Also included with the lot, is a pair of Maple Leafs publications, including one that is a program from the Leafs Stanley Cup winning season of 1966-67 (November 19th, 1966) that pictures Larry Hillman on the cover and the other a Maple Leaf Gardens Hockey Magazine from March/April 1971. Both remain in good condition while showing the commonly seen handling wear while the game program remains complete with the line-up insert and free from large rips/tears with just small ones at the edges of the covers. The books do show some toning/foxing, spine wear, and light creasing. Rounding out the collections, we have a pair of items picturing Leafs legend, Ron Ellis, including an 8” x 10” image of him that has been signed by Ellis with a bold blue ink signature that displays without issue and a copy of his 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee card that has also been autographed with the signature once again appearing strong and the card in the range of VG/EX in our opinion.
