Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/13/2022
The only NHL player in history to be born in Taiwan, as his father an American serviceman was stationed there, Rod Langway was selected in both the NHL and WHA drafts of 1977, and played for both Montreal and Washington throughout his HOF career. A six-time All-Star, Langway earned back-to-back Norris trophies in the early-1980s. We have a stick used by the stalwart blueliner during his time with Washington in the mid-1980s. A KOHO model with “Langway” stamped and “5” handwritten to the upper shaft, the original black tape is in place over the blade and handle, with nice game-use exhibited, including wear to the taped section of blade and the underside, with a few scratches and marks to the shaft.
