Winning gold with Team Canada at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championships, Frederik Gauthier played his junior hockey with Rimouski in the Q, and was drafted 21st overall by Toronto in 2013. Seeing only 7 games with the Leafs in 2015-16, Gauthier played in 21 games with the club in 2016-17, and we offer a photo-matched Leafs jersey worn by the Laval native that season. A label with “58” sizing resides over the inner collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring a vintage style Leafs team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, “33” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in oversized white twill, with “Gauthier” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. The jersey also sports the NHL centennial crest over the right sleeve, with “2” handwritten to the fight strap to denote second set. Sporting good game-use, a handful of black marks are found throughout the sleeves and lower front with a team repair seen near the elbow of the right sleeve. Getty Image #637066686 (December 28th, 2016 vs Florida) is matched to the team repair near the elbow of the right sleeve as well as loose threads seen on the second “3” of the right sleeve. The team patch resides on the inside hem, with a COA matching the serial number to accompany from the Leafs. Additionally included with the jersey is a nameplate from Gauthier’s locker room stall.
