Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Winter 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/28/2023
His final season in Beantown after two decades as the NHL's top blueliner, Ray Bourque requested a trade in 1999-00 with the desire to possibly be on Stanley Cup winning team. His dream was realized, with the five-time James Norris winner hoisting Lord Stanley's trophy with the Colorado Avalanche in 2001. From his final days with the Bruins, we have signed gloves worn by Bourque in 1999-00. Sher-Wood SP-5060 models in solid black with orange graphics, "77" is embroidered to each wrist guard, with "4" handwritten within the corner of each palm. Light but definite game-use is shown, with a few wear marks to each. Bourque has added silver paint pen signatures to each wrist guard, with smudging to the signatures.
