Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
The youngest player in the NHL during his rookie season in 2010-11, Jeff Skinner was drafted by Carolina and spent eight seasons with the Hurricanes before being traded to Buffalo in August of 2018. From his time with the Sabres, we have a stick used by Skinner in the late-2010s/early-2020s, with this specific type of model used in 2019-20 and 2020-21. A Bauer Vapor Fly Lite model with “Skinner” factory graphics midway down the shaft, a portion of the stick including the blade has been painted white – with this a common occurrence with Skinner gamers from the era, with the original heavily waxed white tape on the blade and black cloth over the handle with reinforcing electrical tape strands. Moderate game-use is exhibited with minimal marks to the blade and some wear throughout the length of the shaft.
