Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

Regarded as one of the best, if not THE best defencemen in hockey history…until Bobby Orr came along, Doug Harvey (he had a stranglehold on the Norris Trophy in his day, winning it seven times in eight years), stars here, his important 1951-52 Parkhurst rookie card leading chronologically, although not condition-wise. Assessed “1 POOR” by ACA, a Canadian firm, card #10 has multiple creases but still is a respectable lower grade example. Also slabbed by ACA and at 4 VGEX are ’52-53 and ’55-56 Parkies, with “2 GOOD” appearing on the label of Harvey’s tough ’57-58 card #1. Condition leaders at 6 EXMINT are a ’59-60 Parkhurst entry and a Topps card from ’63-64. Also contributing is one PSA-graded representative, with pen marks on the front of a ’54-55 Parkie and “VG-EX 4 (MK)” on the label. Two raw cards complete the collection; ’58-59 Parkhurst #49 (F) and ’68-69 O-Pee-Chee #1 (VG). Several options for the new owner of these classics, with a few scratches/scuffs to the holder of the ’57-58 Parkie to note.
